Job Description and Position Requirements:

The Youth Counselor will work closely with program staff and classroom instructors in conducting educational summer programs (STEM, non-STEM, and sports programs) for youth in grades 1-12 at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus.

Job Duties

Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with registration
• Classroom activities
• Walking students to and from other locations
• Other miscellaneous duties

Requirements and Qualifications

• Counselors will be required to attend an orientation program
• Penn State students are encouraged to apply
• May require the ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Employment will require successful completion of Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Background Check

Applicants will be reviewed until all vacancies are filled. Camp counselors are needed from mid-June through the end of July.
