Job summary

Momentum Indoor Climbing in Utah is seeking a Youth Program Coach to deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality climbing instruction for participants in our recreational youth programs. This hands‑on role focuses on participant engagement, safety, and customer service under the supervision of the Program Manager.

The position is part‑time and hourly, with required shifts and weekday evening availability. Experience with children and a passion for climbing are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Passion for climbing and enthusiasm for working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.
• Ability to confidently instruct groups in an energetic environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use common workplace software.

Responsibilities

• Coach recreational youth climbing programs including Mo Mini, Base Camp, Youth Club, camps, clinics, and other youth programming as assigned.
• Deliver safe, engaging, and age‑appropriate climbing instruction for participants of varying ages and ability levels.
• Assist with lesson delivery while adapting instruction to meet individual participant needs.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive learning environment.
• Monitor participant progress and provide encouragement and constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of safety and enforce all climbing policies and procedures.
