Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking an Hourly, Part-Time Advocate to serve youth and families throughout Jefferson County. Responsibilities include initiating, organizing, planning, developing, and implementing direct advocacy services based on a strength-based, wraparound approach.

Minimum HS diploma or GED required; experience with at-risk youth and community resources is valued. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR familiarity are pluses; CPR/First Aid and Spanish bilingual ability

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Experience working with at-risk youth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity using an electronic health record system is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus.
• Reliable insured transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage is required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
