Job summary

OHB is seeking a Part Time Youth Advocate to support crisis stabilization efforts in Omaha, NE. You will guide youth in daily routines, provide coaching, and help establish healthy habits while maintaining a calm and compassionate approach.

The role emphasizes safety, consistency, and positive reinforcement, with a starting wage of $16.50–$18.50 per hour and a schedule including evenings and Sundays. A strong commitment to youth development is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of related experience (or equivalent education/experience).
• Understanding of youth behaviors and willingness to work flexible hours.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent under stress.
• Ability to implement motivational systems positively.
• Basic first aid knowledge; CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening.

Youth Advocates guide clients through daily routines, including preparing for school, participating in recreational activities, cooking, completing household tasks, and establishing healthy evening routines. Along the way, you’ll provide coaching, positive reinforcement, structure, and consistency, helping create an environment where youth can learn, grow, and thrive.

Available Schedules
