Dover YMCA invites applications for a Part-Time Group Exercise Instructor (Yoga Focus) at the Dover YMCA Family Location. You will lead engaging, safe group workouts and help participants improve alignment and form under supervision, with opportunities for growth within the YMCA structure.

Qualifications include CPR & First Aid, completion of a Basic Instructor Training Course or a specialty certification, and strong communication skills to serve a diverse community.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
• CPR & First Aid Certified.
• Must have completed a Basic Instructor Training Course and/or completed one specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and lead fun, safe and educational group workouts
• Visually assess class to determine their level of practice
• Assist participants to achieve precise alignment to prevent injury
• Demonstrate practice and techniques
• Transform energy during warm-up, build-up and cool-down stages
