Job summary

REIC Rentals, operating as Black Mountain Rentals, seeks a Part‑Time Yard Technician to keep our yard orderly and rental equipment rent‑ready. You will wash, detail, inspect, and assist with hookups while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role supports fluctuating schedules (M-F with some Saturdays) and requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, pass background checks, and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing and commit to a drug-free workplace.
• Ability to pass forklift, AWP, and propane training tests.
• Strong focus on safety and reliability in a yard environment.

Part Time Yard Technician

REIC Rentals (doing business as Black Mountain Rentals) is hiring a Part‑Time Yard Technician (M-F with flexible schedule within our operating hours). We are looking for someone experienced in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues and passionate about quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

As a Yard Technician, your responsibilities will include meticulously washing and detailing rental equipment before delivery, inspecting small equipment for quality, managing the hookup and receiving of trailers or smaller rented items, and enhancing the overall visual appeal of the yard.

A Typical Day May Include

• Prepping the yard for opening and closing of business
• Loading and unloading equipment and communicating rental details with the Rental Coordinator
• Washing and making any necessary repairs to returned equipment to ensure it is rent‑ready
• Assisting with the appearance, organization, and arrangement of equipment in the yard

Top Candidates Will Have

• A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation
• Ability to meet all drug and alcohol testing requirements and commit to a drug‑free workplace
• Ability to pass forklift, AWP, and propane training tests
• A strong focus on safety

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to take instruction and understand goals and processes
• Ability to work fluctuating schedules, including some Saturdays
• Ability to complete other duties as assigned
• Ability to comprehend job‑related duties in both verbal and written formats
• Comfortable working with limited supervision at times

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds multiple times per shift
