National Hardware & Mobile Home Parts in Florence, SC is seeking a dependable Part-Time Yard & Loading Associate to support sales staff and customers in the outdoor yard and loading areas, and to assist with propane refilling services.

The role offers approximately 25–30 hours per week, with one fixed Saturday and other hours rotating. The job is outdoor/indoor and involves physical work, lifting, and customer service. Training will be provided, with potential to grow into full-time.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Willing to be trained for propane duties.
• Able to lift and handle merchandise in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load customers' purchases into cars, trucks, or trailers.
• Load lumber, mobile-home materials and other merchandise.
• Assist customers in the yard and outside sales areas.
• Fill propane cylinders after training.
• Move and organize merchandise and receive inventory.
• Keep yard, loading, and propane areas organized.
• Help customers locate products and assist with unloading deliveries.
• Operate or learn forklift, zero-turn mower, or skid steer as needed.

Part-Time Yard & Loading Associate–Propane Tank Refilling

National Hardware & Mobile Home Parts is seeking a dependable Part-Time Yard & Loading Associate to help sales staff and customers in our outside yard and loading areas and assist with propane refilling service.

Approximately 25-30 hours a week. Saturday is one fixed day and the other hours may rotate.

This is an active, indoor and outdoor position rather than a cashier or inside retail-sales position. The employee needs to enjoy physical work and helping customers.

Depending on experience and ability, $14.00-$18.00 per hour to be decided on.

Typical work includes:

• Loading customers' purchases into cars, pickups and trailers
• Loading lumber, mobile-home materials and other merchandise
• Assisting customers in the outside sales/yard area
• Filling propane cylinders after completing required training
• Moving and organizing merchandise
• Receiving and putting away inventory
• Keeping the yard, loading and propane areas organized
• Helping customers locate products
• Assisting other employees with loading and unloading deliveries
• Performing general outside upkeep as needed
• Driving forklift, zero-turn mower, and skid steer. Willing to be trained if not experienced.

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Applicants must be able to repeatedly lift and handle merchandise and work outdoors throughout the year, including during summer heat and cold weather.

The position requires a dependable employee who reports to work as scheduled, works safely around customers and vehicles, and is willing to learn proper propane-filling procedures. Training will be provided for propane duties. Could evolve into full-time.
