Wound Care Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

• Provide wound care services for long-term care residents.
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with KS Law.
• Order, review, and follow up on treatments and diagnostics.
• Communicate regularly with nursing home staff regarding patient conditions and care plans.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians.

Qualifications:

• Unrestricted NP license in Kansas.
• Board Certification.
• Optional DEA licensure.
• Experience in adult, family, or geriatric care, with a focus on wound management.
• Comfort with diagnosing and treating various wound types, including diabetic, arterial, venous, and pressure injuries.
• Familiarity with wound care products and advanced wound management techniques.
• Experience working in long-term care settings and with EMRs.
