Job summary

Centennial Baptist Church in Rutledge, GA is seeking a part-time Worship Leader to provide consistent spiritual worship for our church and to cultivate a warm environment blending traditional and contemporary music.

Under the pastor’s supervision, duties include scheduling, rehearsing, planning, and coordinating all worship services, including audio visual ministry, and leading the worship team during weekly services.

Qualifications

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• Knowledge of basic Baptist doctrine and Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
• Ability to work effectively with staff, worship team, AV team, and church members.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with church ministries, particularly music ministries.
• Familiarity with sound equipment and audio visual systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead vocally and instrumentally during Sunday morning worship.
• Conduct weekly rehearsals to prepare the worship and AV team and ensure musical quality.
• Select music and coordinate the order of service in conjunction with the Lead Pastor.
• Prepare worship lyrics in Pro Presenter prior to Sunday morning services.
• Recruit, train, and encourage volunteer musicians, vocalists, and AV team.
• Work with Finance to develop an annual budget.
• Prioritize maintenance and needs for AV equipment.
