Part-Time Woods Teacher/Practical Arts 2024-2025
We are seeking a creative, practical arts teacher experienced in woodwork, but one who may also have other talents, too. This is a part-time hourly position but could easily grow in time. Hand tools are used exclusively in these classes, and it is essential to be able to use and teach with them.
Our beautiful 11-acre campus sits atop a grassy hill in a scenic neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley. Established in 1955, Highland Hall was the West Coast’s first Waldorf school and serves children from early childhood to 12th grade. From 4th grade up, the students take Woodworking class (with hand tools) twice per week. In the high school, there are also woodwork classes.
This year's schedule is Tuesday/Thursday 10:45-1:45. HS elective (4th quarter) is: Monday: 1:45-3:10. Tuesday: 2:30-3:10.
