Job Description And Position Requirements

Penn State Lehigh Valley is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach.

The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach with management of the program with emphasis on, but not limited to, the following:

• Assists with all aspects of the recruiting process, gathering, preparing and presenting scouting materials
• Helps mentor student-athletes to foster athletic, academic, emotional and social growth
• Assists with film exchange
• Practice planning and skill development
• Team travel; assists with purchasing/inventory of equipment; assists in organization of sport camps
• Coordinates visiting team requests; coordinates with athletic department personnel and other University units
• Compiles and maintains statistical information
• Supervises student managers and other ancillary personnel
• Professional development; coordinates team community service
• Represents Head Coach at intercollegiate athletics, alumni, and University events when required
• Performs requested responsibilities with booster club; assists with fund raising; available for media requests; and performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach
• Adheres to all University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations while promoting the core values and strategic goals of intercollegiate athletics
  
  

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
