JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Athletic Department at Penn State Harrisburg is seeking applicants for part-time opening of Women's Flag Football Head Coach.

Job Duties
  • Coordinate and or/ direct the recruitment and retention of prospective student athletes in a particular region or specialty area including prospect evaluation, prospect selection, off campus evaluation, on and off campus visits, and contacts.
  • Design and plan coaching strategies, practice plans and skill development activities.
  • Maintain or manage the program’s operational budget.
  • Coordinate the organization and planning for home events, visiting team requests, and team travel.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications staff to promote the team.
  • Monitor the purchasing, inventory, care, and storage of equipment.
  • Represent the program at intercollegiate athletics, alumni, and University events.
  • May supervise assistant coaches, student managers, volunteer coaches, undergraduate coaches, and other ancillary personnel.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.

Hours will vary between 10 to 15 hours/week (off-season) and 25 to 35 hours/week (in-season). This is a part-time job. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
