Job summary

Aspire Indiana Health, Inc. seeks a part-time Emergency Shelter Contract Worker to support residents at our Indianapolis shelters. This role focuses on safety, engagement, and connection to services in a trauma-informed framework.

Key duties include rounds, intake support, policy enforcement, and data entry, with a strong emphasis on privacy and confidentiality. The position requires overnight/weekend flexibility and a background check.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; Associate/Bachelor preferred.
• 1 year shelter/social services experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Background check, TB test, drug screen required; fingerprints for Family Shelter staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct resident rounds and provide trauma-informed support.
• Link residents to healthcare and social services; manage ROIs as needed.
• Enforce shelter policies and coordinate with staff/community providers.
