Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW across multiple materials.
• Understand welding symbols, blueprints, measurements, fabrication layout.
• Knowledge of heat-affected zones, distortion control, material properties.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and industry specs for welding codes.
• OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements in lab/shop environments.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and structured curriculum delivery.
• Ability to teach welding techniques in a lab/shop with real-time coaching.
• Assess welds visually and through basic inspection methods; provide feedback.
• Deliver lesson plans, lab exercises, and assessments aligned with standards.
• Explain concepts clearly to diverse learners; maintain inclusive environment.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure safe shop practices.
• Translate industry practice to training and adapt to learner needs.
• Inspect and interpret equipment performance; troubleshoot as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, differentiated instruction to students per schedule.
• Prepare course materials and lesson plans.
• Maintain classroom management and timely communication with students.
• Post syllabus and materials in the LMS; communicate expectations.
• Deliver content with varied teaching styles and real-world applications.
