Qualifications

• Must have 36+ months of hands-on welding/fabrication experience.
• Knowledgeable in multiple welding processes and able to teach a variety of welding courses.
• Strong instructional techniques and student-centered approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; basic computer proficiency (LMS, email, Office).
• NCCER Core or OSHA certification preferred or obtainable within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Teach credit and/or non-credit welding courses using student-centered methods.
• Instruct and enforce safety procedures and PPE; maintain a clean lab.
• Develop and post syllabi aligned to master syllabi; outline grading policies.
• Inspect weld quality and assist with industry certification preparation.
• Mentor and advise students on progress, certifications, and career pathways.
• Maintain attendance, progress, and grade records; meet college timelines.
• Collaborate with department to advance program goals; participate in professional development.
