Savannah Technical College in Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Welding Instructor for a part-time role with flexible day and evening classes across Savannah/Chatham, Liberty and Effingham Counties, where you will contribute to hands-on training in welding theory and shop safety.

Qualifications include a welding diploma, at least three years of welding work experience in the last seven years, strong written and oral communication, and computer skills; American Welding Society certification is

Qualifications

• Diploma in Welding from an accredited community college or technical school preferred.
• Must have three (3) years of welding work experience within the past seven (7) years.
• Current American Welding Society Certification strongly preferred.
• Teaching experience at a postsecondary institution is strongly desired.
• Underwater welding experience/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily teaching duties include class lecture, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Evaluating students progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Maintaining program certification requirements, as appropriate.
• Preparing and maintaining required documentation and administrative reports.
• Ensuring safety and security requirements are met in the classroom and laboratory areas.
• Assisting with student recruitment and retention efforts.
• Working diligently to maximize student placements in Welding or related field.
• Other duties as assigned by Department Head or Program Dean.
