The role requires weekend shifts (Saturdays and Sundays 7am-3pm), a High School diploma, and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include supervision, documenting concerns, coordinating with Case Managers, and supporting residents' health, development, and goals.

Qualifications

• Twenty-one years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical stamina and agility to care for active children.
• Physical ability to use authorized techniques for management of aggressive behaviors.
• Must pass criminal history, child maltreatment and background checks.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver's license, proof of personal automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and interacts with residents and communicates concerns to Case Managers and Team Leaders.
• Promotes health, development, behavior management and learning.
• Engages residents in daily activities and builds positive relationships.
• Collaborates with Case Managers, Counseling Staff and Education.
• Transports residents to activities and medical appointments.
• Attends trainings on child and adolescent development.
• Models positive relationships between residents and staff.
• Follows all shelter policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates diversity and cultural competency.
• Maintains appropriate personal and professional boundaries.
• Attends meetings, trainings and other events.
• Other duties as assigned.
