Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a part-time Mental Health Professional for the Western Virginia Regional Jail in Salem, VA.

This weekend shift (14 hours EOW) supports a multidisciplinary team delivering behavioral health services to justice-involved patients. You will conduct assessments, provide individual and group therapy, coordinate care and documentation, and help develop treatment plans in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia license as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or other appropriate mental health license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
• At least two years’ clinical experience with forensic clients and ability to develop goal-directed treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings, assessments, and clinical evaluations.
• Provide individual and group therapy and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with the behavioral health team to tailor treatment plans.
• Coordinate psychiatric services, referrals, and documentation.
• Maintain timely, accurate charting per policies and standards.
• Support program development and staff training as needed.
