Serves as the weekend wedding coordinator for the University of Dayton. Responsible for some communication and paperwork in scheduling and preparing wedding liturgies, managing light set-up and clean-up for wedding liturgies, attending all Friday evening wedding rehearsals and Saturday afternoon ceremonies, welcoming chapel guests on behalf of the university, and managing other arrangements for weddings in the Immaculate Conception Chapel as necessary. Wedding rehearsals begin at 5p and 6p on Fridays and wedding ceremonies are at 1p and 4p on Saturdays. Work schedule fluctuates with the liturgical year and the University calendar. There are approximately 25-30 weddings/year, 2-8 weddings per month during the times when weddings can be scheduled. The coordinator will work approximately 7-10 hrs/wedding, typically 5-6 hours of which is done in person, other preparation and communications work can be done remotely. There are no weddings scheduled during Advent, Lent, June Reunion Weekend, or when the University of Dayton is closed for a holiday. Coordinator may be asked to support other liturgies on campus when available (e.g. funerals).
