The Theta Neurotech team in Chicago is seeking a Fractional Wearables Lead to guide the wearable device strategy for our EEG patch. This part‑time, hybrid role focuses on device requirements, sensor selection, and integration with the EEG monitoring platform, coordinating with engineering and clinical teams to ensure usability, reliability, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in wearable device development, including consumer or medical‑grade hardware and sensors.
• Background in biomedical or electrical engineering; EEG or neurotech experience is a strong plus.
• Understanding of usability, ergonomics, and human‑centered design for body‑worn devices.
• Familiarity with medical device lifecycle, prototyping, testing, and collaboration with regulatory and quality teams.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, data science, and clinical stakeholders and to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Comfort working in a startup environment and independently in a fractional capacity.

Responsibilities
