Job summary

Kleinfelder is hiring a Water System Operator for Katy, TX and Sealy, TX. This flex position provides up to 15 hours per week, supporting the operation and safety of water supply and wastewater plants, with duties including operating pumps, monitoring meters, and maintaining equipment.

Candidates will need a valid driver's license and water operator licenses (Class C preferred; Class D acceptable if C attainable within a year).

75% field work and 25% office time.
Must have Valid Driver's License.
Valid Class C Water Operator License is preferred.
Class D Water Operator License is acceptable if a Class C is obtainable within a year.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain pumps, motors, blowers.
Complete and follow-up on work orders and process control monitoring.
Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours.
Service and maintain equipment and overall plant.
Clean sand filters and media filters.
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls (with proper training and equipment).
Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custodies.
Log plant operation details, on computer and in writing; prepare reports.
Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments based on those results.
