Job summary

City of Conroe is seeking a Water Safety Instructor to teach learn-to-swim classes for children and adults, and to plan and conduct water safety presentations.

The role requires at least 16 years of age, active pursuit of a high school diploma, and current ARC WSI certification with PCPR/AED and First Aid or equivalent. Candidates should demonstrate strong public service and teaching abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 and actively pursuing a high school diploma.
• Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification, PCPR/AED and First Aid or equivalent.
• Ability to teach the ARC Water Safety curriculum.
• Excellent public service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach learn-to-swim classes for children and adults.
• Plan, conduct and/or organize designated swimming development classes or water safety presentations.
