Job summary

The Retreat Club in Davenport, FL, part of Troon, is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to ensure guest safety at the water park. Responsibilities include vigilant supervision of pools and slide towers, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies with first aid and rescue services.

Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguard Certification
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
• Strong swimming ability and endurance
• Ability to work at heights (slide towers) and in deep-water environments
• Good observation, communication, and decision-making skills
• Physically fit and able to perform rescues
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant and vigilant supervision of pool areas and slide zones
• Monitor swimmers to prevent unsafe behavior and accidents
• Perform water rescues when necessary
• Respond to emergencies and injuries promptly
• Provide first aid, CPR, and use rescue equipment
• Enforce water park rules and safety regulations
• Conduct routine safety checks of pools, slides, towers, and equipment
• Assist with opening and closing safety procedures
• Communicate clearly with guests, team members, and supervisors
• Report incidents and maintenance concerns accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and order in lifeguard areas
