Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler in Charlotte, NC. You will receive, store, select, pack, and ship inventory using our Warehouse Management System. Operators will use pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts in a fast-paced, employee-owned environment that values growth and safety.

The role requires physical work, safety awareness, and reliable attendance. Shifts are evenings Monday through Friday with boots required for site safety.

Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order fulfillment processes.
• Familiarity with common warehouse equipment and safety protocols.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Comfort with physical tasks, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, select, pack, and ship inventory in the warehouse.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety inspections.
• Assist with cycle counts and accurate material storage per WMS.

Are you ready?As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will ensure products get where they need to be. You will receive, store, select, pack, and ship warehouse inventory. Our Zone utilizes a Warehouse Management System so technology is required to perform this job. As an employee-owned company, our employees are key to our success and are given opportunities to learn and grow into higher level positions.In this role you will:Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push cartsReceive and store incoming material in accordance with warehouse management system processSelect, pack and palletize shipmentsSort and pack less-than-truckload shipments, conduct cycle countsMaintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspectionsWhat you bring to the table:No fear of heightsPerform physical requirements in a warehouse environment including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders and staying on the move in various temperatures, depending on the location; must pass pre-employment physical testingMinimum 18 years of age requiredGood attendance and work ethic2+ years experience preferredPrior large warehouse experience using a warehouse management system preferredWork Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 7:30pmCompensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $20.00 per hour depending on experience.Additional Information:Steel toed boots required.Why should you join Graybar?At Graybar, our employees are the heart and soul of our company.
