Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Warehouse Laborer in Nottingham, PA. The hourly rate starts at $15.53, with a 20-25 hour work week and a schedule of 7:00am-12:00pm or 11:30am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Eligible for up to a $250 retention bonus, a drug-free workplace and equal opportunity employer. Candidates must have English proficiency, pass an assessment, maintain product knowledge, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing, understanding and speaking required.
• Must pass a job-related assessment with a score of 70% or better.
• Display common sense, understanding, working knowledge of product codes and warehouse procedures.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers or the packing station.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed; uses computer to enter records.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers; weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to standards.
• Sorts and places materials on racks or shelves according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Maintains inventory records; updates spreadsheets as necessary.

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Part-Time Warehouse Laborer position, joining our Nottingham, PA team!

HOURLY RATE: $15.53/hour based on experience

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday

HOURS: 20-25 hours a week; 7:00am-12:00pm OR 11:30am-3:30pm

Qualifications You Bring:

• Able to read, write, understand and speak English
• Must pass a job-related assessment with a score of 70% or better
• Display common sense, understanding, working knowledge of product codes and warehouse procedures
• Must possess a valid driver’s license in the current state of residence and a clean driving record

Physical Demands:

• Constantly reaching and using fine manipulation
• Frequently walking, bending, squatting, balancing and lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Minimally sitting, kneeling, crawling, and climbing

Key Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Uses computer to enter records.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Assembles Route Sales People’s orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
  • Maintains inventory records.
• Update spreadsheets as necessary.
