Job summary

Famous Supply in Greer, SC is seeking Warehouse/Driver associates to perform warehouse and non-CDL delivery duties. You will unload trucks, receive and put away material, pick and stage customer orders, and load delivery trucks while ensuring accuracy and care.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and drive a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate. You will use a smartphone for route navigation, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and assist in the

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive large vehicles.
• A valid driving record without major violations.
• Forklift experience and RF scanner familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks, receive material, put-away, pick and stage orders.
• Load customer delivery trucks and assist with loading.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and provide friendly service.

Job description

Warehouse/Driver associates at Famous Supply are responsible for Warehouse and Driving Duties.

Warehouse tasks include;

• Unloading trucks
• Receiving material
• Put-away of material
• Picking customer orders
• Staging customer orders for delivery
• Loading customer delivery trucks

Non-CDL Drivers at Famous Supply make deliveries to customer shops and/or job sites using a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate. Each morning, the driver’s route for the day is uploaded onto a company-provided Smartphone that navigates the driver to each stop. Drivers are responsible for assisting with the loading of their truck and reviewing orders prior to delivery to ensure accuracy. Driver associates assist in the warehouse when needed.

Note: Famous Supply Drivers will handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces and showers.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Warehouse

• Ensuring product is handled with care to prevent damage
• Attention to detail to ensure warehouse tasks listed above are done accurately
• Keeping warehouse clean, neat and organized

Driver

• Help load truck
• Use Smartphone to navigate to stops on-time
• Unload materials for customer
• Verify delivery for accuracy
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

Required Experience and Skills

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand on feet for majority of an 8 hour day
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to drive large vehicles
• Acceptable driving record

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Forklift experience
• Customer service experience
• Building industry experience and requisite product knowledge
• Experience working in a warehouse
• Experience using RF Scanners
