Job summary

Johnstone Supply - The Founders Group in Fairfield, CA is seeking a part-time Warehouse/Driver II to support deliveries and warehouse operations. You will drive company vehicles on a schedule Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm, 20–40 hours per week, and help with loading, unloading, and staging shipments.

The role requires a valid license, 3–5+ years of delivery experience, warehouse skills, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to cross state lines for deliveries.
• Minimum 3–5 plus years of delivery driving experience, preferably in a warehouse/distribution setting.
• Box truck driving experience.
• 1–3 years of warehouse experience, including shipping/receiving and material handling.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• HVAC/R experience a plus.
• Customer service/sales experience.
• Strong technology skills; ability to use RF scanners and basic computer systems.
• Ability to type 30–50 wpm, operate office equipment, and use 10-key/calculator.

Responsibilities

• Operates company vehicles in full compliance with all safety and fleet program guidelines and traffic laws; maintains a professional appearance and represents the Johnstone brand positively while on the road and during all customer interactions and deliveries.
• Flexibility to fluctuate between performing all warehouse responsibilities and supporting delivery driving duties as needed to meet operational demands.
• Operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers with and other facilities in a timely, professional manner.
• Verify delivery documentation, load accuracy, and ensure secure transport of goods.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including handling returns or exchanges as needed.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with counter/phone sales and call customers regarding back orders when necessary.
