Job summary

The Chicago Cubs are seeking a part-time Warehouse Associate to support facilities operations at 3505 N Kimball Ave, Chicago, IL 60618. The role involves receiving inbound deliveries, moving goods, updating inventory, and delivering to end users, typically about 30 hours per week.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver7s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Nontraditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required; forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver7s license.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse environment.
• Must be able to work 30 hours a week.
• Must be able to work nontraditional hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Attention to detail and good time management skills.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform the following physical tasks: bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb flights of stairs, walk on uneven ground, walk/run up and down ramps, walk and stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Perform product movements in a safe and secure method, following the policies and procedures laid out by the department
• Safely drive vehicles as large as a 16-foot box truck to other heavy machinery that includes forklifts, scissor lifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.
• Maintain and update inventory counts and properly communicate results
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Planning and performing labor projects for special events and special occasions around the Chicago land area,
• Assisting all departments including, but not limited to grounds crew, cleaning, setup, events, security, and engineering
