Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments; prepare items for shipment by comparing identifying information, counts, weights, or measurements against bills, invoices, or orders.
• Determine the appropriate method of shipment based on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Assemble containers from wood or cardboard for shipping, often using small hand-held or powered tools.
• Pack items into containers with spacers, fillers, and protective padding; examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and communicate with shippers to resolve damages and shortages.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness by sweeping floors regularly, removing trash, and recycling cardboard.
• Assist with the annual Physical Inventory Count.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs approximately 10 ft, and/or up to 3 steps.
• Availability for 20 hours per week.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
