Job summary

Texas Building Supply, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking a Wall Assembler to join our production floor on a part-time basis. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience and involves assembling wall components, stocking materials, and maintaining a clean work area.

Work is typically 25–29 hours per week with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. Prior carpentry experience is not required; on-the-job training is provided to help you learn the ropes.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• No prior carpentry or construction experience required.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to learn to read a tape measure and use a hammer.

Responsibilities

• Lay out wall component supplies and materials on carts or floor.
• Stock plates for component set-up.
• Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.
• Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
• Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
• Maintain work area by keeping it neat and organized.
• Assist in the set-up of component assembly process.
• Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.
• Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
• Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and follows all safety procedures; maintain a safe environment.
• Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Assist in maintaining an organized work environment which may include emptying trash receptacles and keeping all bays/staging areas clean and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
• Monitor inventory as required by location management.
• Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.

Texas Building Supply, a division of USLBM, serving the major markets in Texas with five building material yards and one window distribution facility across Austin, Houston, Dallas-Ft. Worth and San Antonio.

A Brief Overview

The Wall Assembler is an entry-level position working on the production floor. This is a part-time opportunity, typically working 4-5 days per week, approximately 5-6 hours per day, for a total of 25-29 hours per week. The role is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a production environment.

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr.
