Job summary

Texas Building Supply, a Division of US LBM Holdings, is seeking a Wall Assembler to join its production floor. This entry-level, part-time position typically runs 4–5 days per week, about 5–6 hours daily (25–29 hours total).

The pay rate is $16.00 per hour, with on-the-job training provided and room for growth into higher assembly roles. Responsibilities include laying out materials, assembling components, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent work experience required.
• On-the-job training provided.
• No previous carpentry or construction experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lay out wall component supplies and materials on carts or floor.
• Stock plates for component set-up.
• Assemble components under the direction of line leaders.
• Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
• Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
• Maintain work area by keeping it neat and organized.
• Assist in the set-up of component assembly process.
• Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.
• Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
• Adhere to established safety rules and procedures; maintain a safe environment.
• Comply with attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Assist in maintaining an organized work environment which may include emptying trash and keeping bays clean.
• Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
• Monitor inventory as required by location management.
• Retain awareness of the work environment to produce error-free and damage-free results.

A Brief Overview

The Wall Assembler is an entry-level position working on the production floor. This is a part-time opportunity, typically working 4-5 days per week, approximately 5-6 hours per day, for a total of 25-29 hours per week. The role is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience in a production environment.

• Must be able to learn to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
• Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
