Qualifications

• 40 Hours DCF childcare training required.
• 5 Hours DCF approved early literacy training required.
• Infant and Child First Aid and CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assistant in implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Creates a learning environment that is safe and child friendly.
• Demonstrates cultural diversity in the classroom.
• Assistant in gathering observation and screening data to guide instructional decisions.
• Adapts the learning environment to meet the needs of the children.
• Uses appropriate guidance strategies.
• Maintains a safe and healthy environment.
• Comply with licensing requirements and program guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
