Job summary

The St James School District 840 is seeking an Early Childhood Substitute Paraprofessional to assist in VPK and Wee Saints programs. You will work under the Early Childhood Coordinator, supporting the teacher in delivering high-quality, student-centered early childhood education focused on readiness and holistic development.

Responsibilities include supporting classroom activities, supervising students, and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Meet Minnesota paraprofessional qualifications or be eligible to obtain them.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support children in classroom activities and safety.
• Assist students who need additional guidance with tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality of students.
