Job summary

Volo Sports in the Boston area is seeking part-time referees to enforce rules and safety guidelines in a friendly, competitive environment. This 1099 contract role is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor sports and want supplemental income.

You will referee across multiple field locations, must have played the sport, and commit to at least eight weeks on Thursday evenings. Reliable transportation and certification through Volo are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to referee at various locations throughout the Boston Metro Area.
• Must have played the sport before.
• Must be available for a minimum of eight weeks on Thursday evenings.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from field locations.
• Must be able to pass Volo referee certification test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players.
• Understand and kindly and fairly enforce each sport’s rules.
• Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.
