Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking adjunct faculty in Indiana to provide instruction and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. You will prepare syllabi, maintain attendance and grading records, and be available to students outside scheduled class time.

Responsibilities include teaching with Ivy Learn and PowerPoint, notifying the department chair in emergencies, and fostering an inclusive environment. This is a temporary, part-time position hired each semester based on need.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction.
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution; portfolio showing work as artist/graphic designer/web designer/photographer/videographer/animator.
• Professional certification in the field; or five years of industry-related work experience; or relevant academic preparation.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes; provide syllabus and maintain attendance and grading records.
• Be available to students outside class time; address concerns; consult with program coordinator as needed.
• Deliver instruction using Ivy Learn, PowerPoint and other technology; notify department chair in emergencies; promote diversity and inclusion.
