Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking adjunct faculty to teach in visual communications. These positions are temporary, part-time roles hired each semester on an as-needed basis, with classroom instruction and assessment using common syllabi.

The instructor will develop syllabi, manage attendance and grading records, and be available to students outside class hours. Technologies such as Ivy Learn and PowerPoint will be used to support learning in a diverse campus environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction.
• Portfolio demonstrating significant involvement as a practicing artist, graphic designer, web designer, photographer, videographer, or animator.

Responsibilities

• PROGRAM OPERATION: Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) and follow contentRequirements.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per College policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to assist and address concerns.
• Meet all scheduled classes and use tech tools like Ivy Learn/PowerPoint as appropriate.
