Job summary

The Georgia Visitor Information Center in West Point, Georgia is seeking energetic, outgoing candidates to serve as part-time Visitor Information Specialists. Georgia’s Visitor Information Centers are the first points of contact with more than 13 million visitors each year, selling Georgia as a tourism destination.

We greet travelers and provide information on events, attractions, and lodging, and assist with planning routes and locating services as needed.

Qualifications

• Daytime availability on weekends and most weekdays.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods while assisting visitors.

Responsibilities

• Greet travelers and provide information on events and attractions in Georgia.
• Assist travelers in planning routes, locating lodging, or other services as needed.
• Open and close center operations as scheduled, working a flexible part-time shift.
