For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher based in DC to join our team for the school year slated to start inAugust 2025. This unique position will involve working remotely, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom and 1:1 setting as they receive treatment in behavioral health facilities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 10-15 school-age patients at any one time.
Position is Monday-Friday from 10-11:30AM.
B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
Active District of ColumbiaStateteaching license
Comfortable working with grades K-12
Strong organizational skills
Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
Reliable Transportation
