LearnWell is seeking a virtual teacher in Florida to assist adolescents in behavioral health facilities. Responsibilities include planning lessons and providing individualized support to students in a small classroom setting. For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team virtually in Florida.This unique position will involve working remotely, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom and 1:1 setting as they receive treatment in behavioral health facilities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 10-15 school-age patients at any one time.
Position is year round Monday-Friday position working during the school day for 1.5 hours.
B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
Active Florida Stateteaching license
Comfortable working with grades7-12
Strong organizational skills
Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
Reliable Transportation
