Roots Community is seeking a part-time Video Editor in Dallas, with partial remote work. You will pair with the Video Producer/Editor (Lead) to turn captured footage into finished pieces, including short-form reels and overflow edits during busy periods.

You'll focus on the craft of editing, maintain organized project files, and provide backup so the workflow never depends on one person. Hours are flexible and set with the lead.

Responsibilities

• The edits: Short-form content — reels, clips, and social video — cut from program and podcast footage to the standard the video lead sets.
• Overflow capacity: The extra pair of hands when volume spikes around programs and events.
• Backup and continuity: Real backup for the video lead so the pipeline holds when they're stretched or away.
• Organized handoffs: Clean project files, sensible naming, and reliable exports anyone on the team can pick up.
