Job summary

MSPCA-Angell Careers is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant or Certified Veterinary Technician to join the MSPCA-Angell Clinic at Worcester Animal Rescue League (WARL) in Worcester, MA. The role supports a high-volume spay-neuter program and community clinic, with flexibility to add more days as needed.

Applicants should have at least two years of veterinary assistant experience, and anesthesia monitoring experience is strongly encouraged.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
• Experience with animal handling and anesthesia monitoring encouraged
• Bilingual in Spanish encouraged (not required)

Responsibilities

• Assist staff veterinarian with procedures and treatments to ensure animal health
• Support veterinary team and shelter staff with examination, vaccination and medical testing
• Provide surgical monitoring for spays/neuters, dentals and other procedures for animals awaiting adoption
