BluePearl Pet Hospital in Oak Creek, WI is hiring experienced Part-time Veterinary Technicians to join our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. All shifts available (Weekend & Weekday).

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergency cases, and perform radiography while interpreting vitals and ensuring high-quality patient care. Our team emphasizes mentorship, growth, and compassionate client service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician in emergency/critical care preferred.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and vital signs accurately.
• Comfort with radiography and basic medical math.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Triage emergencies and obtain vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify arrest risk and initiate CPR.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Place feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Oak Creek, WI is hiring experienced Part-time Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

All Shifts available (Weekend & Weekday).

As An Emergency Veterinary Technician, You Will

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Are proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
