Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is seeking qualified instructors for Part-Time Faculty in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Assistant, to teach in-person, online, or hybrid courses as vacancies arise. This pool supports the Department of Veterinary Nursing and Veterinary Assistant across Meadowood and other sites.

Qualifications include a AVMA/CVMA-accredited Vet Tech degree or DVM or licensed Vet Technician in good standing, plus a passion for teaching and working with diverse student

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate Degree as a Veterinary Technician from an AVMA or CVMA accredited program or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA or CVMA accredited program and/or Licensed Veterinary Technician in good standing.
• The desire to work with students, faculty, and staff from many different backgrounds.
• New to teaching? The department provides orientation and professional development workshops.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in veterinary nursing or veterinary assisting.
• Assess student learning and maintain appropriate standards of ethics and professional conduct.
• Teach in-person, online, or hybrid courses when PT vacancies occur and participate in professional development.
