The Part Time Employee may be assigned to assist in veterinary laboratories, support DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center general functions, and/or aid clinical education and research.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to successfully interact with students, other educators, educational institution representatives, and the general public in a professional manner.
• High school diploma.
• Affection for animals, concern for their welfare, and a willingness to accommodate animals in the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or bachelor degree in veterinary technology or related field.

• Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and the community at large.
• Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students.
• Maintain proper security for all University files and information and follow privacy procedures at all times.
• Maintain records and procedures for duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites.
• Contribute to the attainment of the mission of the University, School/College, and Department.
• Maintain organized veterinary facilities.
• Contribute to effective and safe veterinary equipment, including preparation, utilization, and maintenance.
• Treat all animals humanely, properly, and with compassion at all times, regardless of the situation or circumstance.
• Utilize a learning management system, specifically Blackboard.
• Involve students in research or professional experience as appropriate.
• Assist and motivate veterinary students.
• Participate in preparation for specific courses as instructed by the course coordinator.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
