Pieper Veterinary in Marlborough, CT is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. You will assist veterinarians during examinations, handle basic animal care, and support the clinic’s daily operations with a focus on patient comfort and owner communication.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Prior veterinary experience and familiarity with animal handling are preferred; training and ongoing CE

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations and procedures
• Provide basic animal care such as feeding, watering, and exercising
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness in the treatment and kennel areas
• Restrain animals for procedures when necessary
• Communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
• Keep accurate records of treatments and procedures
• Attend to the comfort and well-being of animals in the facility
