Job summary

For Paws Veterinary Clinic in Falcon, Colorado seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant to support patient care, client communication, surgical and dental support, and outpatient procedures.

The role involves exam room workflow, safe animal handling, medical record maintenance, and collaboration with a caring team to ensure exceptional visits for pets and families.

This part-time position runs 7:30am–5pm, 3-4 days per week, with a benefits package described by the clinic.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant or related role.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, blood draws, and procedures.
• Experience maintaining medical records and treatment documentation.
• Strong communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Provide safe handling and gentle restraint for dogs and cats.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients.
• Build positive client relationships through education and service.
• Keep exam rooms and spaces clean and prepared.
