Job summary

Lincolnton Animal Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians in a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice. This role focuses on patient care and outstanding client service in a busy hospital environment.

You will restrain animals during exams, stock examination and surgery rooms, sterilize tools, and keep equipment in working order while communicating with clients and updating patient files. Flexibility to work weekends is required.

Description

Our hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

The Veterinary Assistant is responsible for assisting Veterinarians in the care of animals. The Assistant helps during initial examinations by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order. Veterinary Assistants also communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.
