Job summary

Lincolnton Animal Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to support a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice. The role involves assisting veterinarians, restraining animals during exams, stocking rooms, and maintaining equipment, while delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with good communication skills, able to work weekends, and comfortable handling pets and lifting up to 40 lbs. On-site presence is essential to patient care.

Description

Our hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

The Veterinary Assistant is responsible for assisting Veterinarians in the care of animals. The Assistant helps during initial examinations by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order. Veterinary Assistants also communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.
