Tarzana Pet Clinic in Tarzana, California is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant. Salary ranges from $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Schedule includes a 5-hour Saturday minimum with additional shifts Monday–Friday.

Location is 18452 Burbank Blvd, Tarzana, CA 91356. We are a busy, long-standing small animal practice with three full-time doctors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a vet tech or assistant.
• Familiarity with Cornerstone software preferred.
• Knowledge of common veterinary tools and equipment.
• Experience with animal handling and restraint of cats and dogs.
• Ability to perform nursing care and monitor anesthesia pre/post-operative.

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgeries.
• Monitor anesthesia and pre/post-operative care.
• Collect laboratory samples and run basic tests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe hospital environment.
