Qualifications

• DVM degree from AVMA-accredited school.
• Active veterinary license without contingencies in the state of employment.
• Current DEA license.
• Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable.
• USDA Category I Accreditation or within two months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care: exams, diagnosing and treating diseases, preventive care.
• Deliver outstanding client communication and service.
• Develop problem-based diagnostic plans and treatment strategies.
• Document observations and diagnoses clearly in the medical record.
• Create treatment plans for day hospitalization and coordinate with referral hospitals.
• Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge to staff to improve care.
• Ensure continuity of care and accuracy of diagnostic testing follow-up.
• Perform routine and complex surgical/dental procedures when qualified.
